The City of Bakersfield is seeking an experienced professional to serve in its legal department.  The ideal candidate will have a passion for the law, attention to detail, and appreciate the importance of delivering high-quality legal services across a variety of topics and areas of law.

The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.  A candidate who has experience in government sector law will be a good fit for the position.  They will be someone who demonstrates fairness, ethics, and integrity in dealing with others, maintaining confidentiality and showing consistency between words and actions.  The new Deputy City Attorney should be someone who can anticipate issues and act strategically.

  Salary Range:

Deputy Attorney I - $129,107.68 - $156,969.28

Deputy Attorney II - $153,164.96 - $186,187.04
